Acting in English 3

These workshops are aimed at advanced English speakers looking to iron out those last stubborn vowels and consonants that give one away as a foreigner. Even native speakers have traits they take with them from one character to another based on their own accent. The aim of these workshops is to work on pieces until one no longer hears where the speaker is from and one is convinced one is dealing with a native speaker. We will perfect accents and make a choice in which accent one wants to speak in when not performing. It is not always an advantage for a European based actor to speak personally with an American accent. Often American Producers are more impressed by the fact that Europeans can make the switch from a British accent to one of the many specific American accents. However, this depends on the individual and we will look at this individually.
